# Stophy

> Stophy is a web scraping API for AI agents. One key covers web search and news, video, social posts and comments, places and travel, shopping, apps, jobs, real estate and public ad libraries. Every call has a fixed price in credits that is shown before you call, and a call that returns no data costs nothing.

**Important notes:**

- Stophy returns data, not written answers. Your agent decides what to do with the data.
- There is nothing to install or host to call the API. You do not run a browser or a crawler.
- Every endpoint is POST https://api.stophy.dev/v1/<source>/<endpoint> with a JSON body.
- A request names things the way responses do. To fetch one video, post or place, send exactly one of its link or id fields, like videoUrl or videoId.
- Every response has the same envelope: { success, data, creditsUsed, requestId }. A list call returns one page in data.results. Send page for the next numbered page, or cursor when the response includes one.
- Send Authorization: Bearer <key>. Google search, Google News, Google suggestions, Google Patents, Google ad library search, YouTube search, YouTube video details, YouTube channels, YouTube comments, YouTube transcripts, TikTok profiles, TikTok transcripts from captions, Reddit search, Google Maps places, Google Maps reviews, App Store reviews, Google Play reviews, Pinterest pins, X profiles and X posts also work without a key, within a free daily limit, first page only.
- Errors say whether to retry. Failed calls cost nothing.
- Most calls cost 1 credit and a few cost 2. Long lists that come back in one answer cost 1 credit per 10 results, and take limit to return fewer. The price is shown in the catalog before you call. Transcripts cost 1 credit when the video has captions, otherwise 2 credits plus 1 credit for every 10 seconds of audio. Credits cost $1.50 per 1,000, $1.20 from $100 and $0.80 from $500.
