Firecrawl or Stophy? Pick by how much you scrape
Both turn a URL into markdown for your agent. Firecrawl sells a monthly plan. Stophy charges $0.0015 a page and has no plan. That difference decides most cases.
Pick Firecrawl if
- You scrape more than about 66,000 pages a month. Firecrawl Standard is $99 for 100,000 pages, about $0.001 each. Stophy is $0.0015, or $0.0008 when you top up $500 at a time.
- You crawl big sites. A Firecrawl crawl reads up to 10,000 pages by default. Stophy stops at 1,000.
- You want any page in your own JSON schema. Firecrawl does it for 4 more credits a page.
- You need more than 600 calls a minute. Firecrawl Scale takes 10,000 scrapes a minute.
- You scrape a little every month, for free. Firecrawl gives 1,000 credits every month. Stophy gives $5 once.
Pick Stophy if
- Your volume changes month to month. You top up from $10 and your balance never expires. Firecrawl credits don't roll over, except for one month on Scale.
- Your agent reads sites, not just pages. 136 endpoints return Reddit, YouTube, Amazon, Google Maps, LinkedIn and more as named fields.
- It searches a lot. Search is $0.0015 per 10 results. Firecrawl charges 2 credits per 10, which is $0.0076 on Hobby.
- Pages fail. A page Stophy can't read costs nothing. Firecrawl charges 1 credit for a page that answers 403 or 404.
Stophy charges $0.003 for pages that take more work to load and $0.0075 for the hardest ones, so check your sites before you compare.
