No. You call Stophy with a Stophy API key. You need no Instagram account, no Meta developer app and no access token from the owner of a profile.
A profile has username, bio, followers, following, posts, isVerified and isPrivate, plus averageLikes and engagementRate. A post or a reel has postCode, text, hashtags, likes, views, comments, imageUrls and videoUrls. A comment has commentId, authorUsername, text and replies. A transcript has the words of a reel in text.
The endpoints read public profiles, posts, reels and comments. They do not post, like, follow or send direct messages, and they do not log in to an account. No endpoint returns stories, follower lists or the posts of a private account.
instagram.profile, instagram.profile.reels, instagram.search and instagram.comments return a cursor. Send it in the next call with the same inputs. instagram.post and instagram.transcript return one answer for each call.
instagram.profile costs 2 credits for each call that returns data. instagram.transcript costs 1 credit when the video has captions. Otherwise it costs 2 credits plus 1 credit for every 10 seconds of audio, up to 30 minutes. The other endpoints cost 1 credit. A call that returns an error or an empty list uses 0 credits.

The agent calls each endpoint by its id in camelCase. For example, instagram.profile is instagramProfile and instagram.profile.reels is instagramProfileReels.
